BAKE ME A FAIRYTALE

Story Explorers! Help a biscuit on the loose escape a soggy ending! Join the Baker family, as they reveal the recipe for an exciting traditional tale and bump into some familiar fairytale friends.

Invite your class to:

  1. Learn Makaton signs and rhymes to recall the story and experience how pace, rhythm and rhyme is used for storytelling. 

  2. Understand the ingredients of traditional stories and fairytales

  3. Bring a story to life, through sensory experiences.

  4. Play and cook up your own characters in hands on activities.

  5. Recall characters from a range of traditional stories to support the traditional tales topic. 

Differentiated for Nursery, Reception, Year One and Year 2 

Suitable to be delivered in a class room or library space for individual classes at a time

EYFS 30 minute interactive storytelling sessions 

KS1 45 minute Interactive storytelling sessions 

Add on Teacher CPD  Creative classroom engagement and storytelling techniques

Story Explorers! Meet at the gathering tree before the last autumn leaf falls and creep up close to wild characters in an interactive fable full of BIG feelings.

 

Invite your class to:

 

  1. Step into a wild story setting to take part in story explorer activities. 

  2. Learn Makaton signs and rhymes to recall the story and experience how rhythm and rhyme is used for storytelling. 

  3. Explore how BIG feelings can affect behaviours.

  4. Collect values for learning, working and playing together. 

  5. Create WILD crafts together for your own classroom contract. 

Differentiated for Nursery, Reception, Year One and Year 2

Discover how pictures and stories were shared in the past and take on the role of a Magic Lanternists to weave pictures and rhymes to create spell binding stories.

Practice the crafty illusions and trickery used to tell tales at a time before cinema and trace the innovation from magic lanterns to how we consume stories today.
