Hello! I'm Rosie Hudson

I specialise in writing and performing stories for children that unfold to reveal interactive invitations to learn, play and create. Inclusive participation and exciting engagement is at the heart of my practice.

My storytelling style invites you to step inside a picture book world packed with witty, lyrical and visual surprises and a splash of silliness. Stories are packed with audience participation from songs, games, Makaton signs, movement and rhymes. As well as a dash of hands on props, sensory supports and opportunities to take to the stage.

I am both a children's Storyteller and a Creative Learning Producer with the expertise to break down BIG ideas into memorable and meaningful learning experiences across live, virtual, recorded and resources.

Mission Imagination! The Story so far...

Since 2010 I have been by trusted to create shows and workshops for heritage picture books from The Gruffalo, Tiger Who Came To Tea Live, The Jolly Postman, The Jolly Christmas Postman, Dear Zoo, Roald Dahl, The Bunnies of Hoppity Hill and more.

I write and perform many of my own original interactive stories and take commisions for Children's Theatres, Schools, Musuem's, Galleries, Events and Festivals.

I've created under fives programmes including Mini Make Believe for Somerset House, Post and Play for The Postal Museum and Creative Tales for Dulwich Picture Gallery. The Mail Rail Science Show and Engineers Good Ideas for The Postal Museum. Slendiferous Science Videos for Roald Dahl Estate and Puffin Books and The Jolly Postman Schools Programme for The Postal Museum.

I work with hundreds of Schools each year through my popular touring school shows and workshops, virtual storytelling and Museum and Gallery visits. I'm also the proud Puffin Books Librarian, producing and hosting The Story Makers Show setting thousands of schools on creative missions inspired by top Authors and Illustrators on You Tube.

I lend my expertise in creating and delivering events and experiences that inspire kids to read, write and play with ideas by consulting and coaching with Authors, Illustrators, Teachers and Facilitators.

I am represented by Georgia at The Bright Agency with NEW stories set to bounce from stage to bookshelf!
